Oktoberfest 5K

For those ambitious and brave folks, you can run up the mountain to earn your Oktoberfest beers! Get ready to harvest the hill at the Oktoberfest 5k. This a fun, yet challenging course. Runners will gain nearly 1,200 feet in elevation as they climb the Saddleback work road. Expect gravel and uneven surfaces.

Registration is open. Please note 5k registration does NOT include entrance into Oktoberfest, you will need to purchase a separate ticket and show proof of purchase into the event.

Spectators can view runners at the start and finish just above The Sandy Quad.

Rules, Registration Information & Awards

  • Race is rain or shine!
  • No dogs. No hiking poles.
  • Plenty of free parking.
  • Registration area is located inside the main base lodge. Bib/ T-shirt pick up will be on race day beginning at 8:30 a.m.
    Race begins at 10:00 a.m.
  • Registration Fee $40. Registration will close 24 hours prior to the race. NO morning of registration!

  • Top three male/female finishers will recieve prizes
  • All registered runners recieve an event t-shirt. Requested shirt size will only be guaranteed 7 days prior to the race, then it will be first come, first served sizing.
