Developing the Next Generation of Skiers & Riders
(March 11, 2022) Rangeley, Maine – Saddleback Mountain and Rangeley Health & Wellness hosted the annual Student Ski Day Celebration on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in partnership with the Rangeley Lakes Regional School and the John T. Gorman Foundation.
The mountain welcomed more than 200 students and staff for the celebration, which will included free equipment rentals, skiing, snowboarding, a lunchtime pizza party, snow sculptures, games, a photo booth, disc golf and prizes. Some students and staff also hit the trail down at the Rangeley Lakes Trail Center for an afternoon of snowshoeing and nordic skiing.
This annual celebration is the end-of-the-season party for the RSU 78 students who ski and ride every Tuesday at Saddleback. The student ski program includes discounted lift tickets and free instruction from Saddleback’s Roger Page Ski & Ride School team. This is the second season the program has been back up and running since Saddleback reopened in December 2020.
