Daily Report

Afternoon Update: Tuesday, January 27, 2026. 1:45 PM
Wow.
It is unbelievably good up here. Leftovers, afternoon snacks, and full bean suppers.
Bright skies in the morning after a 20” DUMP create a picturesque phenomenon that leaves you struck with awe at the overall beauty of the scenery around you.
Untouched lines far and wide. If it got skied yesterday: the line was, most likely, filled back in for today. It’s been another full day of laugh out loud skiing!
It’s that good. It’s this good. Blower Powder. Multiple feet of depth. And it’s here to stay.
If you haven’t already; Come join in on the fanfare.
7:07 AM
Don’t you love it when it refuses to stop snowing? The continuous flow of flakes, from Sunday afternoon until it finally came to an end early this morning, is the kind of thing a Saddlebacker’s dreams are made of…
All said and done – it was a 20” storm! Eight of those inches coming in after 1pm yesterday. Today is going to be nuts.
Tuesday temps will again be on the cool but not cold side, with our highs projected to be right around the 10 degree mark at the base lodge. Expect skies to be kinda/sorta cloudy (sorry if we’re getting too technical here) with a few peeks of sunshine, because, well, who doesn’t like a few peeks of sunshine. Today we will be offering our standard yet somehow tremendous weekday fare, with the South Branch, the Rangeley, and the Kennebago lifts all coming back to life at 9am. Chances of gusts throughout the day so keep an eye on the mountain report for lift status. After all the fresh powder that Mother Nature provided we are (of course) operating with pretty much everything open, plus the groomers have now had time to work their magic. So take your pick of any trail we have and ride to your heart’s content!
Aren’t you glad that’s over? You know, the double digit below zero cold spell. You ok? Good. Since all is well, and things are warming up, we have a great idea for you. No it’s not stay home and sit on the couch. C’mon, you and everybody else knows that is NOT good for you. Wanna know what IS good for you? Skiing. And snowboarding. Even riding up the lift is good for you because you get to practice your dexterity.
So with all those health benefits just sitting here waiting for you, you now know what you need to do. It’s for your own good. Get up here and spend your Tuesday skiing and riding Maine’s Favorite Mountain.
Retail, rental, and tune shops open at 8:30am. Food and beverage choices start at 8am in the Market Café. The Pub opens it’s doors at 11am and doesn’t close until 6pm.
