The Rangeley, Kennebago, and South Branch Quads are all open and loading guests.
6:58 AM
Yes, we are aware that it is April Fool’s Day. So, we make this one solemn promise to you: everything you are about to read is 100% true. No joking around allowed when you’re talking about something as serious as skiing. Anyway, today it will be 70 and sunny and we’ll be skiing and riding on all 357 open trails…
Sorry, we know we promised, but we had our fingers crossed. And honestly, 70 would be way too warm. Today, the truth is that we’ll be skiing and riding on over 40 open trails, with temps in the upper 30’s by mid-day, light winds, with some sunshine breaking through the clouds as the day goes on. All the Big-3 Quads (Rangeley, Kennebago, South Branch) will fire up at 10am to give you another glorious day of top to bottom Saddleback magic.
Did you know the USA is sending astronauts to the moon today for the first time since before most of you were even born? Remember, we said we’re not joking. Google it. While NASA is busy doing moon stuff for the next few days, we’ll be busy up here too, doing ski mountain stuff. We’ve got Après at the Pub with live music Friday and Saturday, and on Saturday it’s the Rewind and Grind Rail Jam at 4pm, on display right in front of the Base Lodge. And on Easter Sunday we’ve got a 9am On-Snow Sunday Service, a slopeside Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddos at 11, and at 1pm it’s everybody’s Spring favorite, the Pond Skim! As if that wasn’t enough Easter Sunday fun, somewhere on the mountain there will be THE best Easter Egg ever, the coveted Golden Egg. Find it, bring it to us, and you can choose to either keep the egg, OR trade it in for a 26-27 Season Pass. It may seem like a no-brainer, but give it some serious thought, it’s a really nice egg.
As always, please ski in control and with caution. Variable conditions and natural hazards do exist; please respect posted signage and closed trails. Please be aware, the Gee Whiz and Wheeler Terrain Parks will remain closed today.
Get up here to Maine’s Favorite Mountain™ and enjoy the amazing Spring skiing while you still can!
