A National Trails Day Event: Exploring Saddleback’s Alpine Zone

Have you ever wondered how delicate alpine plants survive the extreme weather atop Saddleback Mountain? Or what makes Maine’s high-elevation ecosystems so rare and remarkable?

Join Amanda Reimer, Outreach Steward with the Maine Appalachian Trail Club (MATC), for a special National Trails Day event at the summit of Saddleback Mountain. Spend the afternoon learning about Maine’s alpine zones and the important work MATC doe sto protect these fragile environments.
