FUNdamentals of Ski Racing

Intro to Ski Racing Program for Ages 6-12 | 10 Sessions from January - March

Is your young athlete ready for a FUN and exciting challenge this season? Saddleback's new FUNdamentals of Ski Racing program offers an intro to racing in 10 full-day sessions from January to March. Instruction focuses on race training but will also expose participants to a variety of other challenges. Each week new skills will be focused on, from edge control to side slipping, to carving railroad tracks to moguls and tree skiing. There will be two combined-type obstacle course events that will draw from the fundamental teachings and one recorded race at the end of the program on terrain skiers know well. The purpose of this program is to increase young skiers' knowledge and abilities, so they become passionate, lifelong skiers while making new friends and building confidence.
