(January 27, 2022) - Saddleback is proud to be part of the Indy Pass, a pass with only independent ski resorts on it. The people that run the day-to-day operations at the resort are the core of this independent spirit. As part of the #LoveYourLifty Indy Pass social media contest, Saddleback submitted a story about our longtime lift operator, Harry. As you can see, Harry wears many hats...
Harry Clark is one of Saddleback’s most beloved and popular lift operators. At 85 years young, he has helped many generations of beginning skiers enjoy Saddleback. After the mountain was closed for 5 years, many of those youngsters had grown up quite a bit, and their question was always: “Is Harry still here?” … You bet he is!
He is a man of many hats (literally and figuratively) which he proudly displays, and wears throughout the day when he is at the top of the South Branch chair, accessing our beginning terrain. He is known for his full belly laugh, waving to everyone who rides the lift, and is always quick to have a conversation with people who are intrigued by his antics. An all-around great guy, long-time Rangeley native, and Korean War veteran, Harry exemplifies the culture here and speaks to the fact that we’re not just another mountain. We’re Saddleback and we’re family. #LoveYourLifty. More about the Indy Pass.
