New England's Best Value!
Big. Different. On the Move.
Saddleback provides an affordable and fun outdoor
experience for guests of all ages and abilities. As one of only seven
ski mountains in
New England with a top elevation of over 4,000 ft, Saddleback is
distinguished from other
Maine mountains because of its one-of-a-kind high elevation alpine
experience that includes a 2,000 ft. vertical drop overlooking
the Rangeley
Lakes.
We invite you to come breathe the pure mountain air among
snow-frosted evergreens. With five lifts to 66 diverse trails and glades,
we make it easy to carve down our classic New England terrain.
Come find
your “sweet
spot” on the gentle slopes, rugged double black diamond
trails and glades, or our Freerider Terrain Park.
This year,
Saddleback Maine offers skiers and snowboarders Casablanca,
the largest glade in the Northeast. With 44 acres
of inbound
ungroomed tree skiing, the double black diamond Casablanca
features a challenging
experience,
with chutes, steeps and tight lines.
The South Branch area consists of nearly four miles of
beginner trails. Most of the terrain is mild and gently
sloped, with
nothing intimidating
and no crowding from more advanced skiers or riders.
The
middle mountain consists mostly of intermediate terrain,
with a variety of challenging trails including the Grey
Ghost. This trail
has
many head
walls, flats and curves, making it one of our most popular
trails.
The upper mountain challenges our highly skilled
skiers and riders with advanced and expert trails. The most
recent additions
include
Black Beauty,
Frost Bite, Artula and Family Secret. Our superb glades
such as Casablanca, Intimidator, Nightmare and Dark
Wizard are
also in the
advanced skiing
area. Adventurous skiers can explore the back country
woods and hard core tele skiers
can compete in the ‘randonee’, a race which
combines up hill climbs with downhill tucks across
our varied terrain.
Saddleback features outstanding grooming
and maintenance
for its amazing terrain. This season, we’ve added
two new Pisten Bully Snow Groomers to enhance the Saddleback
experience.
With $49 lift tickets, Saddleback offers
a great value, a wide variety of season-long events
for kids and families,
and
a
nurturing on-site
day care. Saddleback provides a big-mountain ski
experience with a small town feel,
and we plan to keep it that way.
