Saddleback
Opens for 2009 - 2010 Season
~Special $25 Early Season Lift Tickets Offered~
RANGELEY, Maine - Saddleback Maine opened
today for the 2009/2010 ski and snowboard season. With four
trails open, a special early season lift ticket price of
$25 will be in effect until more terrain opens.
"We opened today with four trails and two lifts in
operation with terrain for beginners and intermediates,"
said Conrad Klefos, marketing director at Saddleback. "Although
it's difficult to measure the snowfall due to high winds,
we estimate the total snowfall from Wednesday's storm to
be eleven to sixteen inches, providing a good base of at
least 18 inches packed powder."
The natural snow has allowed Saddleback to open Middle Golden
Smelt and Doodlebug in addition to the machine-made trails
Grey Ghost & Wheeler Slope. To monitor the snow report,
