Meisters / Mini Meisters / Adult Programs
Our Meisters program offers great instruction with a student centered philosophy for skiers and snowboarders from ages 3 to 103. A great way to meet new friends that enjoy the same terrain and speed that you do. Meisters begin January 7 and run through March 31. These programs are popular and fun. Pre-Enrollment is encouraged as some classes may fill before the season begins

TUESDAY TUNE-UP
Our Tuesday Tune-Up program continues to be a favorite for adults who can get away on Tuesdays to enjoy Saddleback. Participants are grouped according to skiing ability and preferred choice of terrain. Already one of the best priced skiing products in the industry, the extra bonus of a free coffee and muffin every week makes it a great way to spend a Tuesday morning making new friends and improving your skiing technique.

Saddleback Alpine Race and Freestyle Programs 2011-2012
Saddleback is very proud to announce this season’s programs for both Alpine Ski Race training and a NEW Freestyle Program for both skiers and riders. Three of these programs will be a division of Saddleback Ski and Ride School. The Saddleback Ski Club will offer alpine race programs for advanced athletes, ages 8-20 who are interested in a 40 – 50 day program.
Alpine racing: This season we have a number of options for athletes interested in alpine ski racing.
Jr. Alpine Race Development Program

This program is designed for athletes who are interested in alpine race training. The focus of this program will be to meet the goals of each athlete and to improve their skiing skills to perform at their best on and off the race course. John's philosophy on coaching ski racing to the youth (8-14 year olds) is simple. Excellent skiers make the best racers. “Ski races are won by the best skiers, not the best racers.”

The Coach: John Harrison will be the Head Coach for both of these programs. John has over 40 years experience skiing. John is a graduate of the University of Maine, Ski Industries Program. He has been twice selected by PSIA as an Eastern Development Team Member, and achieved Level III status in PSIA. In addition John has coached ski racing at Saddleback Mountain, and been the technical director at Wachusett Mountain in Massachusetts, as well as the Technical Director at Saddleback Mountain where he was responsible for training the staff at both ski schools. Jr. Freestyle Ski Program

This program is for skiers who want to explore the entire mountain; from the steeps and trees, to the bumps, and the terrain park. For skiers 8-14 years comfortable on black diamond trails and glades. The Coach: Mike Chase Mike Chase will be the coach for this program. Mike has been instructing at Saddleback Ski and Ride School for the past 4 seasons. He grew up tearing around at Saddleback and then attended CVA where he competed in freestyle competitions on skis. He competed in various events, both skiing and snowboarding, for years around the country, before coming back to Maine to marry and start a family. Mike is passionate about coaching, especially young athletes who want to tear up the bumps and learn tricks in the Park. Mike is about as nice a person as you could hope to meet and is as passionate about skiing as anyone you will ever meet. His contact information will be given on request.
Jr. Freestyle Ski Snowboard Program

The Coach: Gabe Sylvestre Saddleback is very, very excited to introduce Gabe Sylvestre to Saddleback. Gabe comes to us with the highest recommendations from the people who have trained him, worked beside him and those he has reported to. He has a passion for freestyle snowboarding. He loves helping others get better and is great at seeing what specific skill students need to get to the next level. He already has 6 years of coaching experience. Last year he decided to start his AASI certifications and passed both his level one and two in the same season; no easy task. He is intending to get level 3 this winter. Gabe is attending White Mountains Community College in Berlin New Hampshire with a major in business. He has plans to become a consultant in the ski industry. He is the kind of person you wish every child could have as a mentor. We are thrilled to have him join our team.
Alpine Racing Program
This program is designed for accomplished skiers and racers seeking to develop and refine advanced racing skills, all mountain skiing and racing maturity. Race training will be the focus of the program. The program presently provides alpine training for J-6 to J-1 athletes.
The program’s objective is the development of mature and motivated athletes through high level coaching, training and personalized athletic management. The program will strive to provide an environment where athletes receive the support and tools needed to achieve their personal athletic goals.
Program Schedule: 12/17/2011 – 3/31/2012; 40-50 days per season.
Acceptance to the program will be based on commitment and ability.
Cost: $1,200.00
