The Saddleback Retail Store on the lower level of the Base Lodge is stocked with accessories and souvenir items that you want and need. All of your winter sports apparel is here, including base layers from Under Amour and Hot Chillys and Smartwool socks known for their warmth and great fit. The Retail Store offers outerwear from Ansai, Mountain Hardware, and hats, neck-ups and facemasks from Turtle Fur and Seirus, along with poles, goggles and gloves from Scott. These are among the many items that will make your time on the mountain feel more comfortable and fun. Plus there's a nice variety of gift and souvenir items like T-shirts, Saddleback logo glassware, Saddleback trail signs, and more.

We have opened an accessory shop on the main floor across from the ticket office. The Midway Shop offers our guests a convenient opportunity to purchase sundries, gloves, goggles, socks, and Saddleback logo items. The Midway Shop is open Monday-Thursday 11am-4:30pm Fridays until 5pm, Saturday 8am-5pm and Sunday 8am-4:30pm.

Demo Program

Saddleback has teamed up with the industry’s leading ski manufacturers - K2, Elan, Dynastar, Volkl, Rossignol, and Salomon - to offer you a chance to demo (with the option to buy) the most technologically advanced ski of the season. From expert carving skis, to all-mountain powder and twin tips, we can offer you professional advice on what will work best for you. The demo program costs $50.00 per day, and you can try up to four pairs of skis that day. If you decide to take your favorite pair home, you pay the depreciated value minus a full credit for every day you demo.

Our rental fleet of Elan skis and Dalbello boots has received outstanding reviews from our customers, acclaimed for their high level of comfort and ease of use. Our line of award-winning Rossignol Rental Snowboards, with high-back bindings and traditional soft boots, will satisfy the needs of those just learning the sport to experienced shredders. We are the only on-hill rental shop in Maine that offers telemark rentals, with high end product from Rossignol and Scarpa. We also have over a hundred helmets in all sizes to keep your head safe and warm.

The Repair Shop

Saddleback's Repair Shop is a full-service tuning center with experienced certified ski technicians that can bring the life back to your skis or board whether you’re racing or just out for a relaxing day on the slopes. Don’t forget to have our certified technicians calibrate your bindings to give you peace of mind on the hill.

Feet hurt? Don’t waste another day on the hill with sloppy or uncomfortable boots because the right fit can make or break a day on the hill. Our Director of Retail, Ian Grierson, is one of Maine’s leading boot fitters. He has helped thousands of skiers with correcting their alignment and fit issues, including members of the U.S. Ski Team and Maine State Governors Angus King and John Baldacci.
