Saddleback Ski and Ride School
Best Student to Instructor Ratio in North America
Saddleback Ski and Ride School has a great reputation: a student-centered philosophy backed by quality training, honest low student to instructor ratios. We strive to meet each guest’s goals to enhance their experience. We keep our classes small, very small, so that each student can receive the attention they deserve.
Saddleback has the best learning and beginner terrain on the East Coast; serviced by the South Branch quad chairlift which is 2822 feet long; 10 trails for a total of four miles of gentle slopes to help any beginner gain confidence below the base lodge away from the hustle and bustle of the more experienced skiers. In addition to an amazing network of trails this terrain includes Gee Whiz, a gentle beginner terrain park adjacent to Mrs Duley, a 350 yard long glade, the exploration of both brings a smile to both young and old.
We offer the best student to instructor ratios in the industry. All new skiers and snowboarders from ages 3-6 get one-on-one instruction at regular group rates! They will each have their own personal guardian angel until they are confident enough to ski or snowboard on their own. This allows each young student to receive the attention they deserve and to progress at the speed that suits them best. Once they are independent they join small groups that are matched by age and ability.
We limit class sizes at Saddleback. No class is scheduled with more than 5 students regardless of age or ability.
Yes you read it right; we offer snowboard lessons to our youngest customers, ages 3 and up. Learning to snowboard at 3 is not for every child but we are here for any who wish to give it their best. We have added the smallest snowboard equipment available to help get the job done.
“These are the right things to do” Mark Robie, Director
