Today we had a scheduled visit by The Skiing Weatherman, Herb Stevens. For those of you not familiar with Herb, he visits a different ski resort each Monday to produce his skiing weather forecast for the upcoming weekend. Herb's show is aired on major network TV channels in 11 different metropolitan markets including Portland ME, Manchester NH, Boston MA, Providence RI, & New York City. This was our week. Steve Prince organized a group of ski & snowboard models for the shoot. The group was made up of Saddleback employees Ian, Crissy, Bouf and Holland. We were fortunate to pick up an inch of snow overnight and the skies have turned into a bluebird day! The group ventured over to Red Devil & Blue Devil where the newly fallen snow had accumulated. Some excellent fresh snow shots were taken and the footage is now in the can for production. This program will be available for viewing after 12:00 PM this Thursday at www.snocountry.com . It will be online until the following Thursday when it is replaced with next week's forecast.

In addition to The Skiing Weatherman program, Herb also shoots a program called Weather Weenies. This program can be seen on You Tube and at www.snocountry.com . In this program, Herb explains the current weather patterns across the country as it relates to the mountains and ski resorts. He shoots this on the same day and I found the very detailed explanation of this week's weather pattern to be very interesting. It would be worth your while to go online and check it out. Herb and his crew were very impressed by our snow and the quality of the surfaces and said so on air during their broadcast.
