Welcome to the first blog of the season. Before I begin, I want you to know that this is my first season as Director of Marketing at Saddleback and it has been a very busy summer and fall to prepare for tomorrow.

Today and tomorrow are major firsts. Not only is this the first blog, but today I made my first turns down Grey Ghost along with Steve Prince. It was nice to get the cobwebs out of the ski legs. You can check out some video of the first run on our facebook page. There is a lot of snow on the Grey Ghost thanks to the hard work of the snowmaking team and some help from mother nature last night. Skiing should be good tomorrow on the Ghost. We will also have novice skiing on the Wheeler Slope thanks to some valiant grooming efforts by Jared Emerson. Two natural snow trails, Golden Smelt & Doodlebug will also open. You should check updates on the ski report on this website or use the new snow phone which is 1-800-458-7502.

These blogs will be short and to the point. The point will be to give you my thought of the day as it relates to skiing & riding Saddleback or maybe some other insider information that I think you may find interesting. I invite you to email me with your comments or questions. My email address is cklefos@saddlebackmaine.com . I hope to meet as many Saddleback loyals as I can throughout the winter. The entire Saddleback team is excited about the season and look forward to providing you with an exceptional Saddleback experience during your visits.
