It may seem like spring where you are, but it certainly does not feel like it today here at Saddleback. Snow started to fall this morning around 10:00 and it looks as though we will have snowy weather through at least Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. We may get enough accumulation that we could consider calling Tuesday or Wednesday a powder day! We shall see about that when the time comes. The weather forecasts are so negative and all the weather experts do is to talk about rain. Very few of the weathermen mention the elevation factor in their forecasts. The fact that our base is at 2500 feet and the summit is 4120 feet does make a huge difference in what falls from the sky. What is falling is snow! The photo is of the view from my office right now.

Today’s forecast had the dreaded “R” word in it and I am sure that it cut into our business today. The MOUNTAIN weather forecast is for seasonable temperatures in the 20’s and low 30’s throughout the entire week, with some snow each day through early Wednesday. We may in fact have our mid-winter surface conditions back for all of you mid-week skiers. I would expect this by Wednesday. Good timing too - just in time for 2 for 1 Wednesday! That’s correct, if you don’t know by now, every Wednesday you can get two adult lift tickets for just $49. If that is not enough, you can take advantage of our one night & two day ski and stay starting at only $94 per person plus tax. For details call our reservation office at 877-864-5441.
