Welcome to the first official day of spring! It sure felt like spring too - lots of sun and very warm temperatures and spring-like conditions. We had a race on Grey Ghost and the Telemark Invasion event. There were BBQ’s on the deck and at the Yurt. Saddleback was very festive today, to say the least. We still have our après ski entertainment followed by a concert tonight. If you are in the area, the band Pogey is performing. Tickets are only $20 each and you can buy them at the door. This fabulous Irish rock band is very entertaining.

But don’t get to use to this weather - it's about to change. Late tomorrow we have a cold front moving in to the region which will bring more seasonable temperatures and some snow to our mountain. We expect snow to begin late Sunday night. We will have unsettled weather into Wednesday and we hope that will mean some accumulating snow. Temperatures will remain well below freezing and we will have another shot at winter-like skiing surfaces. I am hoping to see the glades freshened up with some new snow as I have models and a video crew on standby to do a Casablanca shoot on either Wednesday or Thursday.

The change in weather will begin late tomorrow. We will get in another spring-like day tomorrow before the front arrives. The groomers will smooth the surfaces after midnight once the surfaces firm up. We will start the day with a primary surface of groomed loose granular. Tomorrow is ski with management, meet us at the Rangeley Double prior to 7:30 AM and ski with us for an hour before the lifts open. I hope to see you there!
